How to find the right volunteering opportunity for you!

So you want to get involved in volunteering but you don’t know where to start. Don’t worry, because ARU Students' Union Volunteer Centre has got you covered!

Come in and chat to one of our Coordinators!

Our Volunteer Coordinators are friendly and very passionate about helping you finding the right volunteering opportunity. So why not come into Peter Taylor House in Cambridge or the 1st Floor of Tindal in Chelmsford, sit down with a cup and tea and see what you can get involved in. Find out how to contact them here (hint: look right) or come to our Volunteer Fair or meet ups during Freshers Week.

Have a browse of our current opportunities!

We have a mountain of active opportunities at the moment, all waiting for students such as yourself to get involved in. Volunteer with a local organisation or charity, join a group of fellow ARU student volunteers at a local event, bring your friends to one of our volunteering trips or get involved with our new 'Make Your Mark' project. Start you search by creating your volunteer profile and browsing our opportunities today!

And last but not least, we have a Quiz!

If you’re still struggling to find the right volunteering opportunity for you and you have a few minutes to spare, why not take our Quiz? You can find out what sort of opportunities you might be into and even get a few suggestions.
