'I have developed a strong project and time management skills, communication skills'

What are your main duties and how do they benefit others?

I like to make sure students voice are heard by participating in FBL course Rep catch up/ SSCL Trimester2 where i solicited for feedbacks from other students on course and university matters and presented it to the academic course leaders through course committee and disseminate responses. I also offered myself  to serve and represent students views and motion at the student national conference delegate.  I also volunteer for British heart foundation and Currently trying to raise funds to help people with heart issues. I volunteer in Remote Team Working workshop (partnered with NatWest Business Builders), partnership with nous group, Remote teamwork project for Essex county council to tackle and improve the problem of digital exclusion in the society.

 

What have you enjoyed most about volunteering?

I enjoy meeting new people and working with them. I enjoy developing strong project and giving back to the society.

 

What skills have you learnt and used during your volunteering?

 I have developed a strong project and time management skills, communication skills. I have developed leadership potential skills through the ability to organise group. I have also developed skills in problem solving, creativity, resourcefulness and  teamwork.

 

What are your future career aspirations?

My career aspirations is to develop a food industry as well own a charity foundation internationally where I can reach out to people in need with little or no resources. And my volunteering role as helped my leadership skills, creativity skills and resourcefulness.

 

What inspires you to volunteer?

I really like giving back to the society as well as developing myself.

 

What is your favourite volunteering memory?

My favourite memory was getting to work with students leaders  from England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and all over United Kingdom at the student National conference.

 

Why do you love volunteering?

I love volunteering because I often feel the need to help others and push them beyond their limits while still in the process developing myself.

 

Do you have any last thoughts or comments?

One of my achievements is volunteering as a student consultant with Remote Team workshop (partnered with NatWest Business Builders), partnership with nous group, Remote teamwork project for Essex county council
