Volunteers needed for the historic welcome of the Paralympic Flame to Cambridgeshire 24-26^th August 2012.

Friday 24^th August  2012 Cambridge Paralympic Flame Celebration Event

Cambridge City Council welcomes the Paralympic Flame at the end of their Disability Sports Festival.  

Volunteering roles: To support planned sporting activities and Events stewards in car park and around venue

Venue: Netherhall Sports Centre Cambridge CB1 8NN.     

Volunteering time: 10am –1.30pm/ 1.30-5pm

Cambridge City Council are providing FREE disability awareness training for Cambridge Paralympic Flame volunteers on Monday 20th August 6.30 - 9.00pm at the Cherry Hinton Village Centre, Cambridge  CB1 9EJ.

Saturday 25^th August 2012  South Cambridgeshire Paralympic Flame Celebration Event

South Cambridgeshire District Council are looking to recruit volunteers to support the delivery of the Paralmypic Flame Celebration Event.  Volunteering role: To help direct visitors around the activities taking place.

Venue: Milton Country Park CB24 6AZ

Volunteering time: 10.30am  to 3.30pm

Saturday 25^th August 2012  East Cambridgeshire Paralympic Flame Celebration Event

East Cambridgeshire District Council are looking to recruit volunteers to support the delivery of the Paralmypic Flame Celebration Event.  Volunteering role: To support the stewarding / marshalling of the event. Volunteers ideally should hold stewarding qualification and have experience.

Venue: Ely Jubilee Gardens and Riverside  / Marina CB7 4BB                  

Volunteering time: 1 – 6pm

Sunday 26^th August 2012  Fenland Paralympic Flame Celebration Event

Fenland District Council are looking to recruit volunteers to help the day run as successfully and smoothly as possible.

Volunteering role: To support the stewarding / marshalling of the event.

Venue: Hudson Leisure Centre, Wisbech PE13
