Volunteers are needed to be group leaders for children from inner city Liverpool.

The campus mainly runs during the summer holidays, with smaller projects running throughout the year. There are two projects running during the summer, Hippo and Residential, both of which are open to new volunteers. Residential runs on one-week rotations, each week with different children. Within each week there are around 30 children aged between 8-13 years old, along with 15 or so adult volunteers, most of whom are ‘group leaders’. As a group leader your children are your responsibility, you sleep in different rooms from your children, but you have to get them up, dressed and ready for their day.

Activities range from swimming, laser quest, a day at the beach, theme park visits, cycling etc. There are 3 activities per day: morning, afternoon and evening. Hippo is a non-residential project that runs during the day only at a location in Liverpool. The helpers sleep on the site after the children are taken home each night. Food and accommodation are provided in both instances; volunteers just need to get themselves to a train station.
