Southend YMCA have a volunteering opportunity for an Executive Intern to carry out various research projects to completion and make recommendations to the Chief Executive and other senior managers.  Some of the research that needs to be carried out is in the following areas:

• Fundraising:  Legacies, donations, grants and events.
• Other Charities:  What other charities work in our area with similar objectives.
• Health:  New Health Agenda – how do YMCA projects contribute to this?
• Housing:  Models in other parts of the country – how does the YMCA’s provision compare.
• Positive Activities:  Looking at the possibilities and viabilities of providing facilities for a youth club, an after school club and student exchanges.
• Education:  Horizon scanning, research and fact finding.
