I would like to start by thanking everybody who helped with the amazing vintage lock-in party at Oxfam Mill Road. From those who donated their clothes, all the volunteers that helped sort the stock or run the shop on the day, Fran from the SU for helping us get free Fair Trade wine from the Co-Op (thanks to them too!) and of course, all of the customers that bought something or entered our best dressed competition; you all helped make a great day.
The best dressed competition was a hit with plenty of great entries and contributed to the fantastic amount of money we raised. Our winner was Derek Wood, impeccably turned out in a tweed blazer, cords and a leather fedora. He will receive a £20 gift voucher to spend in the shop.
The event was such a success that we are already planning another in around six weeks time. We hope you can all come again and continue to help raise money for such a great cause. Let’s keep getting great bargains on vintage and designer clothes and raising hundreds of pounds to help people out of poverty.
