Help with the Cambridge City Youth Games!

The Cambridge City Youth Games, organised by Cambridge City Council in partnership with the Cambridge School Sports Partnership, was designed to use the countdown to the Olympics as a way of encouraging children to take part in sport and stay active. Now, it's using the legacy of the 2012 London Olympic games to encourage youth involvement in sport!

Sport Leaders for the Cambridge City Youth Games are needed to help run the event on Tuesday the 25th of June 2012 at the Abbey Leisure Complex between 08:00-12:30 and 12:00-15:30. There are 51 teams entered into the competition, which is aimed at school age 3 and 4. Sports include hocket, boccia, tag rugby, cricket, etc. Sport leaders will be helping to:

. Run the event

. Help with the set up/packing away

. Helping to organise the opening ceremony and closing ceremony

. Helping with scoring

. Helping with admin

. Helping with competitions as directed by sports lead for each event

Skills and Experience Needed/Preferred

. An interest in sport and working with children!
