Plant trees in the local community!

So, lots of you have asked for a tree planting volunteering event....well I am excited to tell you we have one coming up very soon!!

ARU staff and students are being invited to plant trees in the local community!  A great opportunity to meet new people and help tackle the climate emergency!

Why should you do it?

Evidence has shown that increasing and protecting the number of trees on the planet is one of the best solutions to tackling the climate emergency.  It is also a great way of getting to know other staff and students, whilst connecting with nature and our local community.

More details

Come and join us for a day of tree planting with Chemsford City Council in Admirals Park, Chelmsford.  No prior knowledge is required and planting materials, teas, coffees and biscuits will be provided.

There are a limited number of spaces so please make sure you register by 1st November!

In addition, if you would like to know more about how the tree planting process works, you can also join us on Chelmsford campus on Friday 29th November, where we will be planting 10 native British trees as part of the Woodland Trust's 'Big Climate Fightback' event
