As MA students we can also use Cambridge University Library, called the UL, on West Road. It's a beautiful and calm publishing library - meaning it has every book ever published! Sometimes you may have to wait for a book, but, trust me it's worth it.

To get a readers' card, you will have to visit the UL (Cambridge University Library) with:

  • a letter from our admin office (proof of your student status),
  • your student ID card,
  • proof of your current address (i.e. recent gas/electricity bill).

You will receive your card straightaway.

Unfortunately, as it is a readers' card you cannot take books out of the library. Luckily, the Reading Room provides the most comfortable space, that the hours fly by when you're there!

Opening times:

  • Saturday

    9:00 -17:00

  • Sunday

    Closed

  • Monday-Friday

    9:00 -19:15

    No Admittance after 19.00

  • Monday-Friday in Full Easter Term

    9:00-22:00

Happy studying!
