Why should I volunteer?
Volunteering whilst completing your studies, allows you to meet new people, gain new skills and give back to the community. We have lots of opportunities and role for you to get involved in – from helping feed the animals at your local sanctuary to hearing children read or organising large-scale events, there really is something for everyone.
I'm an International Student, can I volunteer?
Yes! However, there are some restrictions to the types of volunteering that your Visa will allow you to do whilst in the UK. Take a look at our International Students Guide for more information.
What if I don't think I have enough time to volunteer?
We try to offer as wide a range of opportunities as possible to cater every taste, interest, and schedule! We currently have lots of organisations working with us, each offering different projects with different time requirements. So whether you only have a couple of hours to help out with a one-off event, or a free afternoon every week,we hope to be able to help you find something that would interest you.
I can't decide which opportunity to choose, can I have some help?
Of course! Our volunteer coordinators are always happy to help. Book an appointment and we’ll meet over a Teams call to discuss your ideas.
What skills will I gain?
By volunteering, you could gain hundreds of skills including public speaking, leadership, communication, problem solving and more. When you volunteer with us, you’ll be able to log in to our volunteer portal where you can keep track of your hours and the new skills you’ve learned, you’ll even be able to win awards for your work!
I'm an organisation that wants to advertise my opportunity to students, how do I do that?
That’s great news, we’d love to expand our network! Send us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be in touch.
What if my question isn't answered here?
