My name is Jess Messam. I am from a small town called Kings Lynn which isn’t far away from Cambridge. I’m in my first year studying Social Work with Foundation Year. Standing for representative for HEMS is a new experience for me, I’m generally a shy person but when I’m passionate I will do anything I can to achieve my goal. Having this role will support me being a better communicator, negotiator and problem solver. Timing and dedication are very important attributes for a perfect student representative and I believe that I have that.

I have had a lot experience in and out of college the past 2 years. I am much invested being involved in different tasks and working as a team. I have recently finished a placement at college in a Nursery; Primary School and Baby room which I really enjoyed it gave me experience of communicating and working as a team. If you choose me to represent I won’t let you down, I will listen to your views and opinions and help to find a solution with the other representatives.
