Candidate for HEMS Faculty Rep at Peterborough

Let me be your voice of Peterborough campus!

About me: I am a mature student, 32 years old, mother of 2 small children, first year student studying BSc Midwifery. This is my second degree so I am already familiar with University life, although my experience this time round is somewhat different, as I am sure is the case with many students now studying from home.

My Manifesto:

  • Be the student voice for Social work, Nursing, Midwifery and Primary Education Studies at Guild House in Peterborough
  • Improve connections with Cambridge Campus - Link with the Student Union to provide Societies, Social calender / Events within Peterborough and transport to Cambridge Campus.
  • Would like to introduce guest speakers - to enhace learning, development and professional networking
  • Be an advocate for students with Learning difficulties and disabilities - Accessability, learning resources and materials
  • Improve communication and raise concerns - Placement communication between lecturers, mentors and students. Raise any concerns with self directed / team based learning during Covid-19.
