ARUNIMA GHOSH

Hello everyone, my name is Arunima Ghosh and I am currently doing my Masters in Applied Bioscience ( Jan 2020 ). I am standing in this election for the position of Course Representative because I feel I can bridge the gap between the students and the administration while ensuring that my course mates get all the benefits and facilities that Anglia Ruskin University wholeheartedly provides.

If elected I would aim to -

1. Increase more interaction with new international students. As an international student coming from a differently structured education system, I understand that it gets really difficult to recognize how things work here. As a course rep, I would like to make them acquainted with all the resources available here so that they can achieve flying colours from the first assignment itself.

2. Attain more personalised feedback from all students ( including students doing an online course) at the end of each week and forward them to the faculty.

3. Making sure all students get the chance of showcasing their leadership skills in tutorials and there is equal distribution of work among everyone.

4. I want to work at the grass root level and be friendly and available all the time if my course mate wants to discuss mental health issues especially during this pandemic and make sure they are heard and guided towards all the vast range of facilities provided by the university and students union.

It would be my absolute honour to represent my course and most importantly my amazing course mates and make all the voices heard loud and clear without any discrimination. Thank you.
