Citizens Advice Peterborough logo

Citizens Advice Peterborough (CAP) is a local charity, established in 1967, that offers free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information services to residents across the city of Peterborough. Annually, we assist more than 10,000 local clients with an excess of 20,000 issues with a real focus on the prevention of homelessness; maximising personal income and dealing with debts. A number of our clients are considered to be quite vulnerable as they face language barriers, suffer from mental or physical disabilities, or struggle to cope with day to day life and live within limited means.

Although we are a member of the national Citizens Advice service, Citizens Advice Peterborough is a small independent registered charity in its own right with its own trustees and we are responsible for fundraising locally to maintain our advice service.
