This year your Students’ Union partnered with two amazing students at ARU to bring you a brand new Freshers' landing page. We know Covid-19 has brought on endless zoom calls and new challenges. But we believe the joy of creativity can be brought to online spaces through partnerships and opportunities to share the talent and creativity right here at ARU.
Polina and Velina both produced amazing illustrations for your Freshers 2020 interactive online guide. Their professional online personas, dedication to fitting the design brief, and passion for creativity shone through. We are proud to be able to represent their artwork on such a widely viewed platform. Polina:
Click the image below to find out more about Polina. Hello! My name is Polina and I am a second year Illustration student at Anglia Ruskin 
University. I was born in Russia and spent a good portion of my life traveling. This enabled me to experience different cultures and people. Currently, I am working towards becoming an illustrator and making visions come to life. I enjoy experimenting with materials and dabbling into different topics, but my main inspiration stems from life experience and the people that surround me. I prefer working traditionally and mixing a bit of digital illustration into my work from time to time. I am still looking to find my direction in the world of illustration and prefer to keep an open mind when it comes to learning new things.

But if you are still curious – I am Velina, a final year Illustration & Animation student, 21 years of age, passionate about environment, equality, and mental health. Through my art and future practice, I hope to inspire people to learn about and support those vital topics!
