Global Week 2020 - So far

So far we have had an incredible week of diversity, celebration, food, dance, and a sold-out International Showcase. Tonight we have an International themed Wild Wednesday Student night in Chelmsford 92, and Stalls resume in Chelmsford and Cambridge. Every stall is student-led and the acts you have seen so far have been done by students who have been preparing for the International Showcase for months to give you an incredible night of culture and creativity.

If you would like to share some praise for the work of these students, why not write a nomination for an #SUAward. The Inclusivity Award in particular is an award is to recognise an individual or group(s) of students who champion Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at ARU, this could have been through their stall, performance, as a rep or society. Nominate someone you think stood out this Global Week

We are currently looking for next years BME and International Rep for Chelmsford and Cambridge. This is a part-time voluntary role, where you will be elected by your fellow students. You will become part of the Executive Committee and lead change at ARU. If you have loved Global Week this is your chance to bring more events and campaigns like this to ARU.

Global Week is run as a partnership between the Students’ Union and the International Office at ARU. The International Office year after year puts incredible effort, time and dedication into supporting and creating this event for you. If you can spare a minute to say thank you, and explain what Global Week means to you in this Inclusivity Award for Staff link you will share kindness, and share appreciation of the hard work that goes into planning this amazing celebration.
