Committee Member of the Month - Chelmsford!

Jessica Hall is a 3rd year studying Child Nursing in Chelmsford and is our Committee Member of the month winner for November! Jess is the President of the Ruskin Raising and Giving (RAG) society, a society that aims to raise as much money for charity as possible. Jess’ role is to encourage members to come together, share ideas and make them happen.

“Raising money for charity benefits not only the charity but ourselves as well. It can be very rewarding when all of your hard work put into an event creates fantastic results! I have enjoyed getting to know more people around campus and being a part of something so rewarding.”

As president of the RAG society, Jess has developed her communication and leadership skills, as she tries to encourage everyone to get involved as much as they can! Jess is due to qualify as a Child Nurse in March 2018 as both the aforementioned skills are incredibly important in nursing, so she plans to take them forward with her.

“I have always been interested in volunteering, fundraising and helping others, so when I heard about Ruskin RAG I knew it was for me.”

“My favourite memory is dressing up as Elsa from Frozen last year and raising the streets of London!”

Katie Pether, the Activities Co-Ordinator for Chelmsford, has this to say about Jessica;

“Jess is a dedicated and loyal committee member, who has single handedly organised activities for RAG week in Chelmsford. She organised a different event each day herself and managed to get 2 additional societies involved in the fundraising!”

Jessica has proved herself to be a wonderful committee member and we hope to see her and RAG do more great things in the second semester!
