A historic reunion of 25 years of ARU Students’ Union Officers took place on Saturday, April 28th.
As part of Anglia Ruskin University’s 25th anniversary celebrations, current ARU Students’ Union President, Jamie Smith, unveiled honours boards in recognition of the contribution of all the full-time Officers over the years.
She said: “Unveiling the honours board as part of the 25th anniversary was a huge honour. It was amazing to see the celebration of the union and the people I have always aspired to be and learnt from.”
All the Officers from the last 25 years were invited back to ARU Students’ Union for the special occasion, to reunite and celebrate how far the organisation has come.
Jamie added: “Having the previous years’ officers there for the unveiling meant so much to me and it was great to hear about their successes since leaving us; lecturing at ARU, traveling the world and even working for the Maltese President! I'm so proud to be a part of a community that puts it's all into the development of political leaders. Thank you to all who attended the unveiling and you can check out the honours boards in our spaces in Cambridge and Chelmsford!”
The honours boards are located in the ARU Students’ Union spaces in Peter Taylor House on the Cambridge Campus and the first floor of Tindal Building on the Chelmsford Campus.
