Meet the VC:

The date is creeping ever closer and yet there are still places available for the Meet the VC event in Cambridge. Don’t miss out on this once a year event- sign up now! If you don’t think changes can happen as a result of these meetings well, your hoodies are proof that they can. Each rep has a hoodie now as a result of the Rep Society’s “Do You Know Your Rep?” campaign which was reported to the VC at this meeting last year. On the back of what the VC heard from Reps he encouraged all Faculties at the University to fund Rep hoodies. So come along and air your views, you never know what the result might be! Sign up here.
External Examiner Reports online:
All students now have access to the External Examiner’s reports for their course. An External Examiner is someone who ensures ARU courses are up to standard and they compile a report on how the course is performing every year. You can find them by clicking here. They’re organised by Departments so it should be easy to find the one that is relevant to you. They could be really useful for you in terms of another data source to back up your points so before your next meeting (or even sooner if possible) I’d encourage you all to have a look through them.
Induction Video:
For those of you keen to brush up on the basics, there’s a short video online now that might be worth a watch. If you have attended an Induction session this year it should all be familiar to you. The video can be accessed by clicking here.
Development Sessions:
There are still places available on the Cambridge Effective Communications session which has been really well received. It is running at 10am on 28th November. You can sign up to it here.
There are also some places left for the Organisation and Managing Time sessions that will run on the Cambridge campus tomorrow. Please sign up for this by the end of today at the latest.
Updating your MyCourse:
There are some really great examples of MyCourse pages coming alive but there are still a few blank ones. It would be fantastic if all Reps could add an article to their pages and information on how to do this is here. If you need any more help with this, let me know.
