Anglia Ruskin University London has given me a chance to sharpen my skills, in the field of my choice.
As a first year Law student, meeting other like-minded people has inspired me to study hard. The VLE – Virtual Learning Environment is a huge resource. It supplies tools for academic excellence with information or various topics that prepares students for immediate or future opportunities. Through the VLE, modules and tutorial materials is made available and easy to print. This has helped to meet academic deadlines and prepare in advance for lectures or presentations.
The Principal’s Question Time is an event not to be missed, as most information about ARUL is shared.
The visit to the House of Parliament gave insights to both modules (Legal Methods and Skills and Constitutional Law). As a result, it became easy to use a particular Act of Parliament in law cases.
Student life will be incomplete without engaging in a Society or ARUL Student Union. For example, the Law Society meets to equip Law Students through ‘Mooting’. Through my participation I have gained more confidence and observed over 20 criminal cases during the 2018 summer holiday.
Visiting the library before and after lectures has helped to improve how to access legal document s. The information boards, and journals, data bases like Westlaw, the Guardian newspaper, Supreme Court website has authentic references.
This experience will be incomplete without working with the lecturers and administrative staff.
