What a wonderful start to January 2022! ARU London welcomed almost 2,000 newbies during Welcome Week. The SU team were delighted to meet and get to know the new students via a series of events and chats over two weeks.
Welcome Coffee & Chat was an informal platform for enjoying a cuppa in a friendly atmosphere. Each session was unique: we played a fun quiz and found out useful tips on time-management, productivity, and London life; answered students’ questions about ARUL; and chatted about everything else in between.
During the SU Talk, students who have been studying at ARUL for a while shared their experiences with January starters. We talked about achieving high academic results, participating in employability events, and making the most of student life. The inspirational takeaway of the session: “It’s not an easy journey being a student while juggling it with other life commitments, however never give up on your dreams!” Don’t worry if you missed the SU Talk, you can catch a recording below to get some motivation.
Our new students were very interactive on our social media too, getting involved with our ice breakers and sending some interesting questions to Vice President Adebisi during our live Q&A session. Our second and third-year students also participated by sharing what it’s like to study from home.
Although Welcome Week has come to an end, your student journey has just begun! Enjoy it and remember that Students’ Union will be here along the way. And remember:
