Hello everyone, we are getting closer to a new trimester in which we will be welcoming new students starting in May 2022.

I would like to take the time to thank staff in the university for their work and dedication. I would also like to take the time to recognise all our Class Representatives and Course Champions for their work and representing you at the SSLC meeting on aspects of student experience relating to your education.

Taking this opportunity to recognise our Muslim students at ARUL - Happy Ramadan Mubarak, may it be a month of surplus blessing.

Some exciting student events happened this trimester, such as Global Week, The Elections and Business Week. And I look forward to finally hosting the long-awaited, biggest social event of the year - the Students’ Union Staff and Student Awards! Full details will be released soon but save the date: Thursday 23rd June. I hope you are all excited about the return of physical social events and the opportunity to nominate your outstanding members of staff and class representatives; be prepared to bring your dancing shoes and let’s celebrate in style!

Please remember that learning will be synchronous from May until August, with face-to-face teaching returning from September, though students can watch recorded classes on the VLE. If you need support or clarity, please don’t hesitate to reach out so the university can support you as well as the Students’ Union.

Are you familiar with the new attendance log in format? If not please reach out to us and we can guide you step by step.

Let me leave you with a motivational quote: “A positive mindset brings positive things, so please live life to the fullest and focus on the positive, because positivity always wins.”.

I look forward to connecting with everyone in May, Happy Easter.
