This week’s Online Volunteering Meet- Up the theme is Fairtrade.
Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 22nd February until 7th March 2021.
In this weeks Online Volunteering Meet-Up we will be learning more about Fairtrade and we will be having conversations with you on how we as a collective support Fairtrade in our daily lives. There will also be a Fairtrade quiz, a few informative videos and a task to help support this amazing origination as a group.
For this week’s session the activity we will be partaking in Missing Maps. Each year, disasters around the world kill nearly 100,000 and affect or displace 200 million people. Many of the places where these disasters occur are literally 'missing' from any map and first responders lack the information to make valuable decisions regarding relief efforts. Missing Maps is an open, collaborative project in which you can help to map areas where humanitarian organisations are trying to meet the needs of vulnerable people.
The Volunteer Centre Team are really looking forward to having conversations with you in this week’s session.
