On May the 14th we will be running Velofest 2014, which will be a celebration of all things cycling and the Tour De France coming to Cambridge. In LAB Courtyard on Cambridge Campus there will be a variety of cycling themed events for you all to get involved in.
We will be educating you about the Tour De France as well as cycling safety, security and it’s benefits. We will be showing cycling films and documentaries as well as having some of the universities' and communities' great services there to talk to you.Furthermore we will have a range of different styles of bicycles for you to look at ranging from the old to the new!
But at centre stage will be our efforts to raise money for charity. We as ARU will be trying to cycle from Cambridge to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris on static spinning bikes. We are looking for volunteers to help us achieve our distance as no one person can complete the 530km cycle alone!! The more help the merrier so if you are up for contributing PLEASE PLEASE help us and sign up here. All students and staff are welcome to help!
