MMA and Fitness Training System
Perry Snooks (Instructor), develops people both mentally and physically. His sessions work by starting on the foundation skills and building up progressively.
The classes are a mixture of simple exercises to build up your basic skills (timing, balance, structure, flexibility, power) and practicing realistic self defence situations (combat).
There are also smaller intensive group lessons where we delve deeper in to the system. We look at diet and update on social media personal plans give a 360 degree plan of health and strength.
Our main classes are on Tuesdays in the Sawyers gym on campus:
- 2:00pm - 3:30pm Beginners
- 3:30pm - 5:00pm Advanced
Periodically we also run Women's self defence & LGBT Warrior courses - information on the next course will be posted on here, stay tuned!
Seminars and socials
I’m The MMA society runs seminars and workshops in addition to the regular classes we offer. These will usually focus on a more specific aspect of self defence, such as weapons defence or multiple assailants (for details on upcoming seminars, please see the event page). We also organize regular socials, ranging from pub visits to paintballing. For the most up to date info on these socials, check our events page or visit our Facebook page. We are a very open and friendly group with a good mix of people, and as always, everyone is welcome!
As a society we strive to uphold our committment to be sustainable in all that we do, and we are always looking for ways to improve our sustainability and be more green.

The membership is £20 for the whole year, all are welcome!

Level 3 qualified personal trainer, level 2 circuit trainer, semi-pro MMA fighter, holds a black belt in Karate.
