Meet Your Officers

Every year we elect two Vice Presidents to represent the student voice and act in the best interest of the student community.

Vice Presidents are at the top of the student representation tree and will run events, pass on student feedback to ARUL and work to improve the student experience.

They are part-time positions meaning they can be completed alongside studying. We have one Vice President for Farringdon and one Vice President for East India.

Hasan Kamruzzaman. Vice President Farringdon.

My name is Hasan Kamruzzaman, a British Bangladeshi national. I am in my final year of studying for an LLB (Hons). I am very passionate to help students and represent their interests, sharing information where necessary to resolve any issues raised by them.

As VP for Farringdon, my top 3 goals for ARU London students across the next year are:

- Follow up on Law clinic or possible alternatives for the law students, and software facilities for Accounting and Finance student, and others.

- Expanding library facilities in terms of more physical books and extended opening times, as well as campaigning for better understating of the referencing process.

- Recreational activities in and outside the campus.

Tamika Carter. Vice President East India

My name is Tamika Carter and I have been re-elected to represent our students at ARU London’s East India. I am also a full-time student studying Business and Marketing and I will be going into level 5 in September 2023. I am a very determined individual and I strive for the best in everything I do. I am extremely excited for the year to come and I cannot wait to represent, connect and support as many students as possible.

Some of my top priorities over the next year are:

- Building the community here at ARUL with events, sports, social gatherings and more.

- Collecting and acting on student feedback.

- Student society lockers.
