    At Anglesey Abbey, their volunteers are involved in a wide range of roles from supporting the smooth running of the estate, maintaining the gardens and telling stories to bring the house and mill to life.

    Currently Active Volunteering Roles:

    • Family Programming Volunteer-Family Programming Volunteers provide a warm welcome for all visitors, focusing on families as part of our events program. You’ll help to run an exciting and engaging family offer, ensuring that our families have an enjoyable and memorable visit.

           What's involved?

     •Assisting seasonally with all aspects of family programming across the site

    •Being outdoors, engaging families with nature-based activities and programs including Wild Play, following and participating in activity trails and other seasonal crafts or activities.

    • Becoming familiar with and following the National Trust’s Health and Safety Policy. • Being warm and friendly to visitors as the public face of the National Trust.

    • Developing knowledge of Anglesey Abbey and its stories so that you can bring them to life. • Helping to improve the family experience by sharing your ideas and experience.

    • Be the first point of contact for our family visitors, communicating our family offer in a way that engages both children and adults.

    • Give any other appropriate assistance as may be reasonably requested. This role will suit you if you are... Someone who enjoys working with children and young people. Passionate about nature and outdoor learning. Full of enthusiasm and excited about telling others about the natural world.

    • House Experince Volunteer- As a House Experience volunteer, you will help bring the stories of Anglesey Abbey, its people, and collection to life.
