We are a charity that supports *unpaid carers in Essex. We offer specialist support by providing information, advice, guidance, activities, training and support groups to all adult carers in Essex.

Carers First Social Media Marketing Volunteer

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

You will be supporting the Communications Team, helping to manage our social media marketing. This is an exciting time as we invest in promoting our digital offer for carers across England. You will be setting up social media adverts, primarily across Facebook, to help maximise our reach and engagement, using data to provide insight and learning we can take forward.

This role will suit people who

  • Are skilled in digital marketing, with experience setting up and managing social media adverts across a range of platforms
  • Are comfortable managing marketing budgets and utilising ad spends
  • Have an interest in analysing data
  • Want to make a real difference to people’s lives

What we need from you

  • As part of our volunteer recruitment process, we will ask for references and will complete a DBS check
  • The hours are flexible, depending on how much time you would like to give, a regular monthly commitment would be desirable
  • Willingness to share advice and expertise

What training and support will you receive?

  • You will also need to do some e-learning to cover mandatory topics such as safeguarding and GDPR
  • There are opportunities for ongoing training, usually provided online, in other topics
  • You will have a point of contact in the Communications Team who will provide ongoing support
  • We hold regular virtual volunteer drop-ins as well as celebration events throughout the year
  • We will pay expenses you incur as part of this role.
