We are looking for aspiring game developers, artists, musicians, animators and others interested in the games industry to join our Cambridge-based society, founded with the aim of aiding students in their journey through university and providing its members with opportunities to socialise, develop and learn. Here are some of the things we do:
This semester's regular meetings will take place every Wednesday in COM217 (Compass House) from 4PM and will run for approximately three hours.
ARU hosts the prestigious Brains Eden Game Jam, as well as a few others for Computer Gaming Technology and Computer Games Art students. You are welcome to team up with other society members to enter these together.
We will also be looking at working on other game jams together. These collaborations will be announced periodically, so please follow us on social media if you don't want to miss out!
As a society member, you can ask us to showcase your work on our social media channels to help get you out there. Simply send us a description of your game with some multimedia (screenshots, videos, etc.) as well as links to your game dev account that you want to plug and we'll hook you up!
We're always looking for new, fresh ideas to spruce things up, so get in touch at a meet-up, by email or in person with a committee member about any ideas you may have about things you'd like us to do.
You can join by buying your membership on this website or by going to the Students' Union desk at Peter Taylor House.
Also make sure to follow our Facebook page and join our Discord server!
We don't have anything planned right now but check back soon!
