Anglia Ruskin Musicians Collective (ARMC)

If youre looking to perform, compose, work on live sound, produce, learn a new instrument or even attend regular gigs. The A.R.M.C is perfect for you. This society is designed for anyone who has a passion for music, no matter what skill level. This is a chance to spark an interest in music with a group of like minded individuals who will help build one another up to achieve what we want to achieve and do what we love to do, perform and play music.

The society aims to have a gig lined up at least once every 2 weeks for anyone who wishes to perform, The Tram Depot has become host to our 1st handful of gigs and the atmosphere displayed by the performers friends and even total strangers has created such a thrill for everyone. Not only will we be running gigs at The Tram Depot, we will be looking to host concerts inside ARU and beyond the university in the other brilliant venues around Cambridge. These gigs will vary from fixed line-up gigs to open mic nights and jam nights.

This society will also give musicians the chance to make connections across ARU with group pages and meetings that will help people make connections and contacts that may be benificial for projects or even live events. The connections may include Sessions musicians, Producers, Live sound engineers and technicians but will also aim to connect with illistrators, film & media technicians and photographers to help bring potential projects such as music videos and professional advertisment out of the realms of fantasy and into reality.

This society is free to join as no musician should have to pay to become a part of a group. The perks of this group and it's features are entirely run off of charity and donations. If you want to support this group and help fund future events and build this society up then any donation is massively appreciated.
