ARU Sustainability Society

We are very excited to be launching The Sustainability Society at Anglia Ruskin University in September.  As a society we have ambitious aims to provide information and encourage individuals to make sustainable choices. We aim to get involved in community projects that will improve our local environment and our university campus.  By supporting sustainable development, we hope to have a positive impact globally to protect the planet.

Over this academic year we hope to collaborate with other societies, to hold film screenings, community projects/volunteering and of course social events! We are also hoping to create monthly themed emails such as ‘how to achieve a sustainable Christmas’ etc. These are a few ideas that we have, but we would also love to hear your ideas too! If you are interested in sustainability or would like to find out more -please come along to one of our meetings. This society is open to all students who wants to make a difference, whether that is within their own personal lifestyle choices or in community. The Sustainability Society hopes to create a team that works together towards achieving a sustainable future. We are very excited to be given this opportunity and look forward to meeting students at the Freshers’ Fair in September!
