What is The Election 2021?

The Students' Union is the recognised representative body for all ARU students. We run executive elections annually so students can choose the members of their executive committee including Full-time Officers, Campaign Reps and Faculty Reps. Are you a candidate? Check out the resources below!

Election FAQs

There are full-time paid and part-time voluntary roles available in The Election 2021. 

Full-Time Roles To Vote For: 

Officers are paid, full-time representatives that work in the Students' Union. Officers either must intermit their studies, or have completed their studies to take up their position in June. 

Part-Time Roles To Vote For: 

Campaign and Faculty Reps continue their studies while volunteering their time with the Executive Committee, meeting once a month and campaigning on behalf of the students they represent.

The students voted in during The Election 2021 are trained by the SU and have dedicated members of staff to support them.
