As Christmas is approaching, here are some festive activities going on in Chelmsford you can get involved with!
As the temperature is dropping and the nights get darker, we know that Christmas is only around the corner. There is a ton of stuff going on in Chelmsford you can have a look at to get you feeling festive!
Helen Rollason Cancer Charity’s Christmas Gift and Food Fair
From 25th to 26th November 10am - 4pm, head down to Chelmsford City Racecourse for this Christmas Fair, raising money for an amazing cause. Tickets are £5, and you can get 2 for 1 tickets at HRCC shops. With over 80 independent retailers stocking a huge variety of items, this is going to be a huge Christmas fair.
Christmas Lights Switch On
The Christmas Lights Switch On will be held in Chelmsford city centre between 2 – 5pm on the 26th November. There will be lots of festive entertainment on the main stage, outside Shire Hall, and the festivities will end with a fireworks display near the Town Sign at 4:45pm.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
The Chelmsford City Theatre on Fairfield Road is showing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as its Christmas pantomime performance between 29th November and 7th January. Tickets are from £22, but are quickly selling out.
Winter Fest
At the MAB Courtyard here on campus on the 5th December, you can enjoy the Winter Fest from 10am – 4pm. With everything including a skating rink, a human snow globe, DJ, carol singers, food and drink, and a festive film screening, this event is sure to bring the festivities to campus!
The Comedy Club Christmas Special
At The Lion Inn on Main Road, you can go to The Comedy Club Christmas Special nights on the 5th, 6th, and 11th of December. The show is £23, and with a three course meal it is £45.
Christmas Fair
On the 17th of December 10am – 2pm, you can attend the Christmas Fair at the Essex Police Museum. Selling everything from gifts, cards, and crafted decorations, this is the perfect opportunity to pick up last minute gifts for friends and family.
