The Students’ Union strongly believes in making the ARU campuses a safe and inclusive space for all of our members. The campaign in question was developed by our elected Trans Rep in 2016/2017, with the support of ARU’s trans community, and the Students’ Union. The campaign was instrumental in the establishment of gender-neutral bathrooms on our campuses, providing students of ARU the choice between gender-neutral and gender-specific bathrooms.

Inclusivity is the heart of everything we do as a Students’ Union, and this campaign represents our commitment to championing the diversity of our students and their communities. We continue to stand alongside our Trans community, ensuring that they, like of all our members, feel safe using bathrooms on our campuses.
