Did you know International Students can now apply for a payment plan for your tuition fees?

International students are facing many challenges to return to the UK to continue or start their studies as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. We wanted to know what the primary challenges to their return to campuses are and how we as a Students’ Union can help. 

As an officer team we had been receiving many queries about tuition fee payments following a letter sent out by the university requesting the payments be made in full. We did not think it was appropriate to ask students to pay such a large sum under the current circumstances.  

The SU Officers conducted a short survey for international students returning to campus, when reviewing the results, we found that many of our students would benefit from a payment plan to repay their tuition fee loans. We collaborated with the Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice-chancellor with the results of our survey, and they have agreed that a payment plan should be set up for international students. 
 
As such payment plans are now an option for international students to set up by contacting the international office on internationaladvice@aru.ac.uk or Credit control at creditcontrol@aru.ac.uk. 

 Please note that a payment plan will not be arranged with you if you do not request one.
