Hello everyone,

The last few weeks before tour were pretty crazy as usual. I was voted in as one of your NUS delegates for National conference which will take place in a couple of weeks time. There is some excellent competition for the NUS elections and decisions on voting will not be easy!

I held the 'be a champion' day at UNI4U which was a great opportunity for our students to volunteer and to encourage teenagers to go on to further education. http://www.angliastudent.com/news/article/6013/Be-a-Champion/.

On the 30th of March we had the day we’d all been waiting for, Constitution review day. A lot of hard work went into planning the amendments to our constitution and I am confident the changes myself and the other officers have made will have a positive impact on your student experience next year.

We then set off on tour to Salou in Spain which was great fun but a little stressful on the odd occasion http://www.angliastudent.com/news/article/6018/Sports-Tour/.

Since coming back I have been organising a few events we have coming up, Varsity http://www.facebook.com/events/302599829810637/ this is an extremely important date in the sports calendar at ARU, so come and support your teams!

The Clubs & Society Awards Ball http://www.angliastudent.com/ents/event/162/ we are currently selling the last few tickets, everything is ordered and it is set to be a great night. There is also ‘Old Boys’ and ‘Anglia cup’ in May, two more cracking events to look forward to!

I am looking for a photographer to take the team photos, this didn’t happen last year but it is very important it does this year so that every student knows your sports clubs are active! Please come and find me in the office if you are keen to take advantage of this opportunity.

All the GIAG's have finished in Cambridge until next year but I am arranging the last GIAG for the Peterborough campus, so Peterborough students do come along!

Lastly we have been making some suggested changes to the Student Charter (the rule book for students/Uni staff), consisting of making make more reference to the Students' Union and making sure there is reference to the student experience outside the classroom where the SU is concerned.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter and third years - keep working hard, not long to go now :)
