I entered in the Green pitch because I wanted to make a difference. How often are you offered £1,000 pounds to use towards making a difference that’s important to you, your community, and the wildlife around you? So, I decided that I’d go for it! I’ve been volunteering at Shepreth Wildlife Park since I started university, and recently we opened a hedgehog hospital! We ended up with tons of healthy hedgehogs that needed a new place to live! I thought it was a perfect opportunity to get Anglia Ruskin involved and to help the hedgehog population. After winning the Green Pitch, three hedgehogs were successfully released behind Peter Taylor. And hopefully more will be released this following spring!
