Go Green Pilot 2012

We are looking for 12 students in their second or third year who are passionate about the environment and wish to do their dissertations / academic projects while gaining a work experience with third sector organisations located in Cambridge. It is a great opportunity to gain training in eco-auditing, get a meaningful work experience; enhance your chances to participate in the green job market; meet interesting people and to participate of the many activities we are planning including workshops, parties, conferences, possibility of writing articles, and many more!

If you are interested read the poster attached and follow the instructions!

You will have to prepare a 1 minute video, showing us why you are enthusiastic about the environment and why you want to participate in this pilot. Be creative, songs, music, art or a honest heartfelt approach are welcome! Also you need to send a CV. Emails in the flyer attached. Rush because we have a lot of demand from students who are taking advantage of this opportunity!!!

A group of experts (including the organisations you will be working with) will select the students who will be invited for a sort of "green apprentice" type of interview.

This is a great opportunity to gain employment experience and to combine academic work with practice. You will receive a certificate for training as an eco-auditor and you will be part of an academic team for research and scholarship. I was involved in the pioneering group of students who started this idea. last year and it provided me with the platform to base my dissertation on and develop my skills of working in a team both in and out of the professional organisation.

Former students have improved their employment opportunities in graduate jobs and promotions. Indeed, this is a very innovative project and it is really fun to participate, and we hope you can also become a mentor for future students!

Good luck!
