Addenbrookes Hospital

Part 2 in our series of Hospital Snooping came when a group of us went along to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge to be shown around the different Children's and Neonatal wards. For those of us who went to both Oxford Children's Hospital and this trip, it was great to have another hospital to compare to our own placement sites and see how things are done differently.

On this trip we had members from first, second and third year cohorts all keen to do some looking around and it was great to get to know other children's Nursing students from across the field (I even discovered an ex-neighbour!). For those of us thinking about jobs in the near future, Addenbrookes was good to see as a potential employer not too far from home and I think after our visit there, we have some keen future applicants! A good day of snooping had by all :)

To join in with our trips or if you have any suggestions for future trips you'd like to take please email me at: emma.wolton@student.anglia.ac.uk or join our facebook group at: Aru Child Nursing.
