Everyone comes to yoga for different reasons. Some come for the time-out and relaxation, but the practice is excellent for developing and relaxing muscles and so is exceptionally beneficial for sportspeople too. If you'd like to see what it's like or give it a try, ARU is a great place to start - you'll be surprised at what you can do.
Our yoga instructor, Daniela, runs open flow classes for a range of abilities. The classes begin and end with 5 minutes of relaxation time, although the content varies. The classes are as challenging as you're willing to work towards - from a gentle stretch to a good workout.
Due to the surge in COVID cases over the winter holiday period, the committee in conjuntion with our instructor Daniela have decided to move all classes online again for the next Trimester, to support your health and wellbeing by minimizing non-essential face-to-face activities.
