To round off the journal club series this year Jamie Dexter will discuss the pathophysiology of atherosclerosis and discuss lifestyle interventions for the treatment and prevention of it. Anyone who presents a research paper of their choice and attends 6 journal clubs qualifies for a certificate for their portfolio and they will be automatically entered into our prize draw for a £20 amazon voucher.

There will be a prize for the person who does the best presentation on a paper at the journal club, this will be voted on by all committee members.

In medicine, it is important to keep up to date with research and as future healthcare professionals reading literature is a big part of this. These journal clubs will help provide an insight into how to analyse and critique a paper, as well as helping with future presentation skills.
