After the success of our journal clubs last year, we have decided to run them again this year. In the journal clubs, we will discuss different aspects of research papers together and learn how to critically analyse a paper. Attendees also have the opportunity to present a paper at one of the sessions themselves. Anyone who presents a research paper of their choice and attends 6 journal clubs qualifies for a certificate for their portfolio and they will be automatically entered into our prize draw for a £20 amazon voucher.

There will be a prize for the person who does the best presentation on a paper at the journal club, this will be voted on by all committee members.

In medicine, it is important to keep up to date with research and as future healthcare professionals reading literature is a big part of this. These journal clubs will help provide an insight into how to analyse and critique a paper, as well as helping with future presentation skills. 

Join us on zoom for the first journal club where Stephen Hughes and Nicky Milner will go through a paper and give us some top tips for analysing papers.
