Sustainability Summit 2021: Driving Ambition

According to UNESCO(2016), education for sustainable development “empowers people to change the way they think and work towards a sustainable future”. It therefore involves making access to good-quality education available at every stage of life. More specifically, it involves educating students on the necessity of sustainable development by integrating sustainable development issues into all aspects of teaching, research and services.

The ARU Sustainability Summit 2021 aims to be an online event that will gather different guest speakers from various subjects around sustainability to discuss the roles of HE in contributing for sustainable educationand development. The chosen thematic of the summit will be “Driving Ambition “intend to provide students with a virtual stage where each can get inspired to act, engage and get to know all about the work done by ARU in contribution towards being a more sustainable institution.
