I'm running for my course rep as I received an email telling me no one else is running for it, naturally I thought what the heck why not.

You might as well vote for me because Ill do my best to make sure we get ample opportunities to improve our degrees.

As a January starter myself I think it's imperative that we fix refreshers week so that it's on par with September freshers week. 

Hopefully no one else runs for this so I can win by default ??

I also wanna run for rep so people will talk to me as there's only one other person on the same course and starting date as me ??

This might seem like a joke but I genuinely would be a good rep as I know how to lead and how to talk to people, although I sometimes act impulsively I do think ideas through thoroughly and would greatly improve our course.
