University is a place where we can be ourselves and it is a chance for us to discover who we want to be and where we want to take our lives into a career.  This is why I think being a course rep is important because we have chosen a course based on our interests and the course which best suits, where we might want to have a career in the future.  This is our chance to shape and mould ourselves into the person we want to be, for possibly taking on that dream job.  So, we want to gain all of the wonderful benefits which come with university and doing a degree.  This is where I feel a course rep is needed because students can talk to another fellow student about any concerns they have, students may find this is easier and it enables them to put their ideas and opinions forward.  We want to feel like we are having the best university experience and gaining new knowledge as well as insightful opportunities, this is where I want to make sure that everyone in our year is feeling like they are getting that and I want to be the person to raise queries that students are having, take them to the right places and see the change which students were hoping for.  If you nominate me as your course rep then I will listen carefully to your concerns and questions, pass them on quickly and efficiently and support your ideas in every way that I can.  I am passionate about our course, I think I am a good listener and will always try my very best to ensure all of the third year tourism students are getting the very best out of their degree.
