I believe that all people, regardless of personal or political backgrounds, should be allowed to access and achieve highly in Higher Education, as well as being entitled to a good quality of life. Social Policy, in a broad context, is about ideas and principles that can affect a person's or group's quality of life. As a course rep, I would like to take ideas and principles from others alongside me in the Social Policy course and help to implement them in the hope that it would improve the quality of their time at Anglia Ruskin University. The Social Policy cohort is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, making it a very diverse group. As a course rep, I would make it one of my top priorities to empower all others within the Social Policy course by giving them the freedom and support to put their thoughts and wishes across. As a sociable and approachable individual, I know that I would flourish within this role, enabling others on my course to flourish alongside me.
