Manifesto

My name is Balikis Lawal, I am currently in my 3rd year studying Forensic science. I am applying for the role of vice president for the faculty of science and engineering (FSE). As someone who has been involved with the Students' Union in the past, I understand the importance of making sure that all students feel heard and supported. I will work to ensure that the Students' Union is more accessible and welcoming to all students and that everyone has the opportunity to get involved. I will strive to make sure that the students' voices are represented at the highest level, and that their concerns are taken seriously. I believe that together we can make ARU a better place for all students.

As the vice president of the FSE, I will focus on advocating for the needs of students, ensuring that their voices are heard, and their concerns are addressed. I will work with other officers to coordinate our efforts and make sure that all areas of student life are represented. I will also work to build relationships with the university administration and staff, to ensure that the needs of students are considered in all decisions.

As a course rep and current student, I have first-hand experience of the issues that students face, and how the Students' Union can best support them. I will bring this experience to the role of vice president, and work to ensure that all students have the best possible experience at ARU. In addition to advocating for students at the highest level, I will also work directly with students, course reps, and course leaders to better understand their needs and how the Students' Union can best support them. I will collaborate with other officers to ensure that all areas of student life are represented, and that no student is left behind. I will also work with the university to ensure that the needs of students are being met and that they have access to the resources they need to succeed. Thank you for taking the time to read my manifesto I look forward to representing you in the student’s union.

Kind regards,

Balikis.
