So, what student issues would I take to this years NUS conference to represent you at a national level?

• Talk to other Unions about how they Lobby ARU to secure more accommodation for students 
• Find new tools and platforms to Improve the process of finding accommodation for students
• How/ if any Unions have succeeded in gaininng more affordable housing options, talk about the prices students face in Cambridge
• Discuss how to create the tools for collaboration between courses University wide, especially supporting final year and research students who wish to develop cross-departmental project oppurtunnities
• Find out how NUS is reacting to the Climate Emergency, and how ARU can adopt some of it's policies.

And of course ask other Unions how their Union Bar / venues work, what challenges we might face, and how to ensure we keep both bars in Chelmsford and Cambridge running consistently for years to come.

The Life and Times of George Mason

Across my three years at ARU, I have seen issues that likely transcend ARU, at the National Conference, I would investigate the following.

• Coming from a low income background, I understand the financial difficulties most students face at ARU. University is expensive, with hidden costs and surging housing prices. I want to see what NUS are planning to make university more affordable.
• Throughout my time at ARU, I have worked on the multiple versions of the SU bar, from this I know how important a social space on campus is, I would love to liase with other unions, to see what processes and features we can incoparate into out bar.
