Introduction:

Hi, my name is Edilene Mariano and i am running for the position of Student Union vice-president, because as a student we have all the information to achieve the knowledge and confidence after the graduation, but i would like to help you find the confidence needed to go through your academic life.

My experience and skills:

I have experience in public speaking and have developed the following skills like confidence, organized, time management and the networking skills and i believe these make me an ideal candidate.

What I plan to do if elected:

If elected I would aim to:

• Create networking events at the university aimed to get more people involved to increase their speaking confidence.
• Increase social activities by running socials events
• Developed the parent's group to help the parent-student to find the support needed to manage the personal life and academic challenges.

I think these aims will have a positive impact on students because they will be more confident as a student and improves future opportunities.
