WHO AM I?
I am Madalina, a 1st-year business student and I am running for the position of Vice President ARU London. I have always been passionate about connecting people and inspire them to fully developed themselves. I believe that your time here at ARU London is what you make of it, that's why I am determined and engaged to get the best results possible for you.
WHY ME?
During the years I have worked in different countries with several nationalities. Respecting our multicultural background is very important, we all have different habits, aspirations and beliefs. Having the honour to represent all of you will allow me to make sure that each one of us has the chance to share their culture through specific week celebrations.
WHAT I WILL DO IF YOU ELECT ME:
Housing issues:
- Ensure accommodation updates are shared each semester and full support provided for those in need;
- Consult in case of rent difficulties;
- Council tax reminders and updates.
Part-time jobs:
- every month a list of part-time jobs will be listed to you at different bars, coffee shops and restaurants, to support those of you with kids or big commitments;
- application support;
- schedule conciliation;
Multicultural week:
- with your help, I would like to realise colourful posters including jokes, habits and tradition from each nationality in our University, and display them towards the building so we can all learn from each other;
- specific treats will be provided for you to experience;
- implement praying rooms
Self-development events:
- Despite our knowledge, it is very important that we know our purpose and goals. A self-development training with special quests I believe is the place where your passion and aspirations can fully thrive;
- self-development club will be implemented to offer you support and confidence;
- one special guest for semester will share his/her experience with you;
I know we all miss a coffee/ bar, one of my goals is to try everything I can an get this facility.
